Hello, and welcome to Silux Call. In this guide, I'll show you how to connect a desk phone, such as a Yealink, Grandstream, Snom or Poly, to your Silux Call number.

Any standard SIP desk phone or cordless phone works, as long as it isn't locked to another provider. Plug it into your router with a network cable and switch it on first.

Once you're logged in to your dashboard, choose Extensions from the menu on the left.

Press Desk phones at the top of the page.

Please read the red box carefully. If a phone tries a wrong password five times in ten minutes, our system blocks your office's internet connection for 48 hours, and every desk phone in the building stops working. So always type the password slowly, and check it before you save.

Here are the settings every phone needs. The server is sip.siluxcall.co.uk, the port is 5060, and the transport is UDP.

Type a label, such as Reception, and press Add. Your desk phone gets its own extension number. That number is the user name you type into the phone.

Next to the phone, press Get password. If a phone is already set up on this extension, unplug it first, because the old password stops working straight away.

The password is shown only once. Type it into the phone now, and check every character. Capital letters matter.

Now choose your make of phone for the exact steps. We have guides for Yealink, Grandstream, Snom, Poly, Fanvil, Cisco, Gigaset and Panasonic.

Each guide shows how to find the phone's address, log in to its settings page, and exactly which boxes to fill in with the server, your extension number and the password.

Within a minute, the Desk phones page shows Connected next to your phone. Dial *97 to check your voicemail, and you're ready to take calls.

If calls have no sound, or drop after thirty seconds, turn off the setting called SIP ALG on your broadband router, then restart the router and the phone.
