The four SMS and WhatsApp add-ons explained — SMS call alerts, WhatsApp call alerts, Business SMS and the WhatsApp Business inbox — with what each costs and exactly how to order it.
Which plans include it
SMS call alerts and WhatsApp call alerts are add-ons on every plan. Business SMS and the WhatsApp Business inbox are included on Enterprise and are add-ons on every other plan.
What it means
Silux Call sends and receives SMS and WhatsApp in four ways. Each is a separate add-on, so you only pay for the one you need.
What it does
- SMS call alerts (£1.50/month, up to 50 a month): a text to a UK mobile when a call rings, is missed, is diverted or leaves a voicemail.
- WhatsApp call alerts (£1.50/month, up to 300 a month): the same alerts to any mobile on WhatsApp.
- Business SMS (£1.50/month; included on Enterprise): send and receive texts from your business number in a shared inbox.
- WhatsApp Business inbox (£5/month; included on Enterprise): customers' WhatsApp messages answered by your team in the dashboard.

How to use it
Order SMS or WhatsApp call alerts
- Open Call Alerts (SMS & WhatsApp) in the menu.
- Press "Add for £1.50/month" on SMS call alerts or WhatsApp call alerts.
- Pay in secure checkout.
- Back on the page you see "Payment received — your call alerts are switching on now".
- Enter the mobile to alert, tick the events (Missed calls and New voicemails recommended) and Save.
Order Business SMS
- Open Features & add-ons.
- Under "Money & messages" press "Add to basket" on Business SMS.
- Check out. Business SMS appears in your menu once payment succeeds.
- Buy an SMS-enabled number on Buy a Number if your number cannot text.
Order the WhatsApp Business inbox
- Open Features & add-ons.
- Add "WhatsApp Business inbox" to the basket and check out.
- Book a support call to connect your WhatsApp number.
Cancel any of them
- Open Features & add-ons.
- Press Remove on the add-on marked "active — you already pay for this".

Abbreviations on this page
- SMS — Short Message Service
- An ordinary text message.
- Example: A missed-call alert that arrives on your mobile as a text is an SMS.
- The messaging app. Call alerts and the WhatsApp Business inbox send and receive messages through it.
- Example: A missed-call alert can arrive as a WhatsApp message instead of a text.
- OTP — One-Time Passcode
- A short code that works once, sent by text for signing in or confirming something.
- Example: The 6-digit code texted to you when you sign in is an OTP; it works once and expires.

How much do SMS and WhatsApp add-ons cost?+
At the time of writing: SMS call alerts £1.50/month, WhatsApp call alerts £1.50/month, Business SMS £1.50/month and the WhatsApp Business inbox £5/month, all excluding VAT. The live price is always shown in your dashboard before you pay.
Are SMS and WhatsApp included in any plan?+
Business SMS and the WhatsApp Business inbox are included on Enterprise. Call alerts are add-ons on every plan.
How quickly do they switch on?+
As soon as payment goes through.
Can SMS go to non-UK mobiles?+
SMS goes to UK mobiles. WhatsApp works with any mobile number on WhatsApp.
What happens if I use my monthly alert allowance?+
Alerts pause until the 1st of next month; calls and voicemails still arrive as normal.
