What it means
The settings behind smart answering. Nothing needs installing — it runs on Silux Call's own UK platform.
What it does
- Enables or disables Smart Voice.
- Holds the instructions (System Prompt) it follows: who you are, what to say, what to ask, when to hand to a human.
- Controls answer length (Max Tokens) and variety (Temperature).
- Limits sessions per day to control usage.
- Sends call outcomes to your own system via an optional webhook.
Every part of the page
- Smart Voice switch
- Turns smart answering on or off.
- Max Tokens
- The longest a single reply can be. Lower keeps answers short and quick, which suits phone calls.
- Temperature
- How varied the wording is. Low (0.2–0.4) gives consistent, predictable answers.
- System Prompt
- Plain-English instructions, e.g. "You are the receptionist for Acme Plumbing in Leeds. Ask for name, postcode and the problem. Emergencies: transfer to 07…".
- Webhook URL (optional)
- An address to receive call details automatically.
- Max Sessions Per Day
- A daily cap on smart-answered calls.
- Save Settings / Test Connection
- Save first, then Test Connection.
How to use it
Write good instructions
- Say who you are and where.
- List what to collect (name, number, reason, postcode).
- Say what it must never do (quote prices, promise times).
- Say when to pass to a human and to whom.
- Save Settings, then Test Connection.
Examples
Write clear instructions
Instructions: "You answer for Bright Windows. We fit and repair uPVC windows in Derby. Ask for the caller's name, postcode and what they need. Never quote prices; say a surveyor will call back."
Keep it short
Set short replies and a polite, friendly style so callers are not kept listening to long answers.
Recommended settings
- ★Temperature 0.3 for a receptionist.
- ★Keep Max Tokens modest — callers want short answers.
- ★Set Max Sessions Per Day so usage stays within your included minutes.
