Recordings API: list and download call recordings as MP3
Copy your call recordings into your CRM or your own storage: list them, then download each one as an MP3.
Which plans include it
Included on Plus and above. On Free Trial, Entry you can add it on its own at £2.50 a month from Features & add-ons.
What it means
The same recordings you can play in the dashboard, available to your own system. Which calls are recorded depends on your plan and your recording settings; the API does not change that.
What it does
- List: GET https://www.siluxcall.co.uk/api/v1/recordings (limit 1 to 200, default 50; since = only recordings that started at or after this time).
- Download: GET https://www.siluxcall.co.uk/api/v1/recordings/<id>/audio returns the MP3. Large files can be fetched in parts (Range requests are supported).
- Each call in the call history API shows its recordingId when it has a recording.
Every part of the page
- id
- The recording's id, used to download it.
- from / to
- The numbers on the call.
- startedAt / durationSeconds
- When it started (UTC) and how long it lasted.
- audioUrl
- The address to download it, for example /api/v1/recordings/<id>/audio. Send your key with it.
How to use it
Download a recording
- curl -o call.mp3 https://www.siluxcall.co.uk/api/v1/recordings/<id>/audio -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
- Open call.mp3 in any player.
Copy every new recording to your system
- Every 15 minutes, ask GET /api/v1/recordings?since=<time of the newest one you have>.
- Download each new one with its audioUrl and store it against the contact.
Recommended settings
- ★Recordings are personal data. Store copies securely and delete them in line with your own retention policy.
- ★Tell callers calls may be recorded, as you would for any recorded line.
Abbreviations on this page
- API key
- A secret password that lets one piece of software use another. Treat it like a password.
- Example: Treat an API key like a password: anyone with it can use your account's API.
Questions
Why is the list empty?+
Either no calls have been recorded yet, or recording is not switched on. Check your plan and Recording Settings in the dashboard.
Can I delete recordings through the API?+
No. Delete them in the dashboard. The API only reads them.
Can I share the audio link with someone?+
The link only works with your API key, so it cannot be opened by someone else. Download the MP3 and share the file securely instead.
Which plans include the API?+
It is part of the package on Plus, Growth, Pro and Enterprise at no extra cost. On Entry, add API access for £2.50 a month from Features & add-ons. The Free Trial does not include it. There is no per-call API fee.
