Payments: take card payments on a call without hearing the card number
Callers type their card number on their own keypad, your staff never hear it, recordings pause automatically. See every payment, filter by status and refund.
Which plans include it
Included on Pro and above. On Free Trial, Entry, Plus, Growth you can add it on its own at £11.95 a month from Features & add-ons.

Examples
Taking a deposit
A customer books a holiday cottage. You start a payment; they type their card number on their own keypad; your staff never hear it; the recording pauses automatically; the payment shows as Paid.
Refund
Find the payment in the list and refund it from the same page.
Recommended settings
- ★Never ask a caller to read their card number aloud — use the keypad flow.
- ★Turn on PCI DTMF redaction in Recording Settings as well.
Abbreviations on this page
- PCI DSS — Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard
- The card schemes' security rules for anyone who takes card payments. Taking card numbers by keypad (so staff never hear them) and pausing recordings during payment keeps card data out of your business.
- Example: Taking card numbers by keypad, with recording paused, keeps card data out of your recordings, as PCI DSS requires.
- DTMF — Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency
- The tones your phone makes when you press keypad buttons. Menus and card payments read these tones.
- Example: Pressing 1 in a phone menu sends a DTMF tone that tells the system which option you picked.
- IVR — Interactive Voice Response
- The recorded menu that answers a call and asks the caller to press a key — "press 1 for sales, press 2 for accounts". Each key sends the call somewhere: a person, a team, voicemail or another menu. It lets a small business sound like a large one and gets callers to the right person first time. In your dashboard it is called a Greeting Menu.
- Example: "Thank you for calling Smile Dental. Press 1 to book, press 2 if you are in pain today, press 3 for billing." Press 2 and the call rings the emergency nurse, not reception.
Questions
Which plans include card payments?+
Pro and Enterprise, or as an add-on on other plans.
Is this PCI compliant?+
It is built for PCI DSS: card numbers are entered by keypad, masked, and kept out of recordings. Your wider compliance depends on your own processes.
