Developer API
Silux Call API: click-to-call from your CRM, call history and recordings
Start calls with one click from your own CRM, booking system or spreadsheet, and pull your call history and call recordings into it, using a secure API key.
Which plans include it
Included on Plus and above. On Free Trial, Entry you can add it on its own at £2.50 a month from Features & add-ons.
What it means
An API (a way for software to talk to Silux Call) for your own systems. Your system asks us to start a call, or asks for your call history and recordings, and we do the rest. You do not need to be a developer to use it with a ready-made tool, but someone will need to paste a few lines into your system once.
What it does
- Click-to-call: your system names an extension and a number. That extension rings first (mobile app, browser softphone or desktop app, with any headset). When it is answered, we dial the number with your normal business caller ID.
- Call history: your recent calls, newest first, with direction, numbers, answered or missed, duration and the recording if there is one.
- Recordings: a list of your call recordings, each one downloadable as an MP3.
- Extensions: the extensions on your account and who they belong to, so your system knows whose phone to ring.
- Works with anything that can send a web request from a server: your own CRM, Cloudflare Workers, Google Apps Script, automation tools or a few lines of code.
Every part of the page
- What it does
- Four cards: Click-to-call, Call history, Recordings and Extensions, each with the web address (endpoint) it uses.
- Your API keys
- Create a key with a name such as "Our CRM". The full key is shown once only, in a yellow box, so copy it then. Account admins can create and revoke keys; up to 10 active keys.
- Last used
- When each key was last used, so you can spot keys nobody needs any more.
- Revoke
- Stops a key working straight away. Press Revoke, then "Yes, revoke".
- Start a call from your system
- Copy-ready examples for a terminal and for your server in JavaScript, with your account's web address filled in.
- Links
- The full guide, the OpenAPI spec (a technical description developer tools can read), and Settings → Webhooks for live call events.
How to use it
Get started in 5 minutes
- Open API in the dashboard menu (near the bottom).
- Type a name for the key, such as "Our CRM", and press Create key.
- Copy the key from the yellow box and save it on your server, like a password. Press "I have copied it".
- Send a test call from a terminal: see "Make your first API call" in the Developer API guides.
- Your extension rings. Answer it and the number is dialled.
Recommended settings
- ★Keep keys on your server only. Never put a key in a web page, an app or an email.
- ★Make one key per system, so you can revoke one without stopping the others.
- ★Name keys after the system that uses them, so "Last used" tells you what is still in use.

Questions
Which plans include the API?+
It is part of the package on Plus, Growth, Pro and Enterprise at no extra cost. On Entry, add API access for £2.50 a month from Features & add-ons. The Free Trial does not include it. There is no per-call API fee.
Who can create API keys?+
Account admins. Other users can open the API page but cannot create or revoke keys.
Does it work with my headset?+
Yes. The extension you name rings on whatever it is signed in to: the mobile app, the browser softphone or the desktop app, with any headset used there.
Which numbers can I call?+
The same as your phones: UK landlines, UK mobiles and freephone numbers.
Is there a technical specification?+
Yes. The OpenAPI file is at https://www.siluxcall.co.uk/api/openapi.json. Most developer tools, and AI coding assistants, can read it directly.
