Music on hold is the audio a caller hears while they wait — either music, or a recorded message about your business.

Silence is the worst option: callers assume the line has dropped and hang up. A short message ("we now open Saturdays") turns dead time into something useful. Silux Call includes custom hold music from Plus, or £2/month as an add-on — the same feature Voipfone charges £2 for.
