Prompt Customisation

Telling the assistant about your business so its answers are right.

The prompt is the assistant's brief: who you are, what you do and what it should say. Edit it in Dashboard → AI Config.

What to include

  • What your business does, in one or two plain sentences
  • Your opening hours and location
  • The three or four questions callers actually ask most often, with the answers
  • What it must never promise — pricing, delivery dates, availability
  • When to stop and transfer to a person

Writing guidance

  1. Be specific. "We are a plumbing firm covering Leeds and Bradford" beats "we provide services".
  2. State the boundaries explicitly — what it should refuse to answer matters as much as what it should say.
  3. Give exact wording for anything sensitive, rather than describing it.
  4. Keep it tight. A long rambling brief produces long rambling answers.

Never put card details, passwords or personal data about third parties in the prompt. It is used to generate speech to callers and should contain nothing you would not say to a stranger on the phone.

After changing it

Call your own number and try the two or three things customers ask most. Prompt changes can shift behaviour in ways that are obvious on a real call and invisible on the page.
