What is Bluetooth hands-free calling (HFP)?

Bluetooth hands-free calling uses the Hands-Free Profile (HFP), the part of the Bluetooth standard that carries two-way phone audio, so you can talk and listen through a headset, earbuds, speakerphone or car instead of holding the phone.

How does Bluetooth hands-free calling (HFP) relate to Silux Call?

Most earbuds, headsets, speakerphones and cars support HFP, including Apple AirPods, Beats, Samsung Galaxy Buds, Google Pixel Buds, Sony, Bose, JBL, Jabra, Poly and Sennheiser. A speaker that only plays music (A2DP) has no microphone, so you talk into the phone instead. Silux Call business calls use HFP on the app for iPhone and Android, and any Bluetooth headset paired with your computer works with the desktop app and browser softphone.
