Can I use AirPods for work calls? (Yes, with your business number)
How to take business calls on AirPods, AirPods Pro or AirPods Max with your business number showing, on iPhone and Android, plus tips for clear calls.
Yes. AirPods, AirPods Pro and AirPods Max all work for business calls with the Silux Call app, and your callers see your business number, not your personal mobile.
How to set it up
- Connect your AirPods to your phone as normal.
- Install the Silux Call app (iPhone or Android) and sign in.
- Make or answer a call. The sound goes to your AirPods.
On iPhone
Silux Call calls behave like normal iPhone calls: you can answer and end them from your AirPods, and the Audio button opens Apple's own menu to move the call between iPhone, Speaker and AirPods.
On Android
AirPods connect to Android phones as a standard Bluetooth headset, and Silux Call business calls play through them. Tap Audio on the call screen to switch between the phone, the speaker and your AirPods.
Tips for clear calls
- Keep your AirPods charged: if they switch off, the call moves back to the phone.
- In noisy places, AirPods Pro with noise cancelling help you hear the caller.
- Callers hear you best with the AirPods in both ears.
Not on AirPods? Galaxy Buds, Pixel Buds, Beats, Sony, Bose, JBL, Huawei FreeBuds and almost every other Bluetooth earbud work too. See the full list.
