Click-to-call API for UK business phones

The Silux Call API lets your own CRM, booking system or spreadsheet start a call with one click, and pull your call history and call recordings back in. One HTTPS request rings your extension; answer it and we dial the customer with your business number. Included on Plus and above, or £2.50 a month on Entry. UK numbers, GBP pricing, no contract.

What the API does

Click-to-call
POST /api/v1/calls

Name the extension and the number. The extension rings first on the app, browser softphone or desktop app, with any headset. Answer, and we dial the number with your normal caller ID.

Call history
GET /api/v1/calls

Recent calls, newest first: direction, numbers, answered or missed, duration, and the recording if there is one. Filter by date.

Call recordings
GET /api/v1/recordings

List your recordings and download each one as an MP3, straight into your CRM or storage.

Extensions
GET /api/v1/extensions

Every extension on your account and who it belongs to, so your system knows whose phone to ring.

Start a call in one request

Create a key in your dashboard under API, then:

curl -X POST https://www.siluxcall.co.uk/api/v1/calls \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"extension": "1001", "to": "01632960123"}'

The reply:

{
  "status": "ringing_extension",
  "extension": "1001",
  "to": "01632960123",
  "message": "Extension 1001 is ringing. When it is answered, we call 01632960123."
}

The same thing from a Cloudflare Worker, so a Call button in your own CRM works for every user:

// Cloudflare Worker, Node or any server. Never put the key in a web page.
export default {
  async fetch(request, env) {
    const { to, extension } = await request.json();
    return fetch("https://www.siluxcall.co.uk/api/v1/calls", {
      method: "POST",
      headers: {
        Authorization: "Bearer " + env.SILUX_API_KEY,
        "Content-Type": "application/json",
      },
      body: JSON.stringify({ to, extension }),
    });
  },
};

Built for UK teams

  • Each user calls from their own extension, with your business number as caller ID.
  • Rings the mobile app, browser softphone or desktop app, with any headset.
  • UK landlines, mobiles and freephone numbers, the same rules as your phones.
  • Call history and MP3 recordings straight into your CRM.
  • Live webhooks as each call ends, missed call or voicemail arrives (CRM Integration page).
  • OpenAPI 3.1 specification for developer tools and AI coding assistants.
  • No per-call API fees. Included on Plus and above, £2.50 a month on Entry.
Keys you control

Account admins create named keys in the dashboard. Each key is shown once, stored only as a hash, shows when it was last used, and can be revoked instantly.

Safe by default

HTTPS only, server-side keys, up to 20 calls a minute and 10,000 requests a day per key, and every API call logged on your account's activity log.

FAQs — Silux Call API

Does Silux Call have a click-to-call API?

Yes. Your CRM, booking system or any server sends POST /api/v1/calls with an extension and a number. The extension rings, and when it is answered Silux Call dials the number with your business caller ID.

Which plans include the Silux Call API?

Plus and above at no extra cost (Plus from £8.95 a month ex VAT for 3 users). On Entry, add API access for £2.50 a month. No per-call API fees.

Can I get call recordings through the API?

Yes. GET /api/v1/recordings lists your recordings, and GET /api/v1/recordings/{id}/audio downloads one as an MP3. Recording itself depends on your plan.

Can I pull call history into my CRM?

Yes. GET /api/v1/calls returns your recent calls with direction, numbers, status, duration and any recording. For a live feed as each call ends, add a webhook on the CRM Integration page.

Does it work with Cloudflare Workers, Zapier-style tools or Google Apps Script?

Yes. Anything that can send an HTTPS request from a server works. Keep the key on the server; never put it in a web page.

Does the click-to-call work with a headset?

Yes. The named extension rings wherever it is signed in: the Silux Call mobile app, the browser softphone or the Windows, Mac and Linux desktop app, with any headset used there.

Which numbers can the API call?

UK landlines, UK mobiles and UK freephone numbers, the same as your phones. Silux Call is a UK service.

How is the API secured?

Each key is created by an account admin in the dashboard, shown once, stored only as a hash, and can be revoked instantly. Requests are HTTPS only, with limits of 20 calls a minute and 10,000 requests a day per key.

Is there an OpenAPI specification?

Yes, at https://www.siluxcall.co.uk/api/openapi.json. Most developer tools, and AI coding assistants, can read it directly.
