What is 0800 freephone number?
An 0800 (or 0808) freephone number is a UK number that is free for callers to dial from any UK mobile or landline; the business that owns it pays for each incoming call instead.
How does 0800 freephone number relate to Silux Call?
Calls to 0800 and 0808 have been free from UK mobiles since 1 July 2015, which makes freephone numbers good for sales lines, helplines and adverts. Because the number holder pays per minute, providers charge a monthly rental plus call charges. Silux Call sells 0800 numbers for £9.99 a month (ex VAT) with £100 of prepaid call credit; incoming calls cost 3p a minute from landlines and 9p from mobiles, charged per second; the customer is emailed when 90% and 95% of the credit is used and the 0800 number pauses at £0 until topped up. Calls from abroad are blocked unless the customer switches them on (195p a minute). Businesses can apply for a monthly-invoiced account instead. Choose one at [/0800-numbers](/0800-numbers).
